Joanna Wildy

Starting her career as a geneticist Jo Wildy left scientific research to become a clinician. She has run a successful practice for over 30 years, specialising in osteopathy in the cranial field and the treatment of patients who have suffered head trauma - historic or recent head trauma and of many different types. Jo has become convinced that physical trauma to the head can leave a legacy in the housing the brain - namely the skull and underlying membrane system. Jo Wildy went on to study Biological Complexity as a means of understanding and explaining health and disease using a different model from the usual. It puts into context how manual therapy is an important therapeutic intervention in certain people who suffer mood disorders and are at risk of long term brain disease. Jo has taught her subject worldwide and has now put her thoughts, ideas and understanding of health and disease around biological complexity in a book.
