Patricia Cleary is a graduate of the University of California and Vermont College. As a bilingual teacher, she wrote two supplements to the elementary school curriculum, Abecedario en Rima, and Fun With Fruits and Vegetables. She has been an Outreach Specialist working with at risk students in the inner city; a school principal of a multi-ethnic middle school and an experimental dual language elementary school; a college professor; and has taught English language to adults in Spain.
Patricia grew up in San Diego speaking Spanish and studying Spanish dance in nearby Mexico. She spent her late teens in Paris and studied French at the Sorbonne. Following her years in education in San Francisco, she has continued her studies in French in Nice, France and Spanish in Madrid, Spain. Patty currently divides her time between Madrid and Spokane, Washington where she pursues her love of creative writing, language and education.
