Dr Adah Sachs

Adah Sachs PhD is an attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapist and a member of the Bowlby Centre. She has worked for decades with adults and adolescents in psychiatric care, was a consultant psychotherapist at the Clinic for Dissociative Studies and NHS consultant and psychotherapy lead for one of the London boroughs (now retired).

Adah assesses complex cases, lectures and supervises worldwide on attachment and dissociation. She is the author of over 200 training days, conference papers, book chapters and journal articles, including three co-edited books.

Her main theoretical contribution is outlining sub-categories of disorganized attachment, with links to trauma-based mental disorders.

She is a fellow of the ISSTD.
