Heather Sparling

Heather Sparling is a Professor of Ethnomusicology and the Canada Research Chair of Musical Traditions at Cape Breton University. Her research interests include memorialization and language revitalization through music. She researches Gaelic songs in Nova Scotia, Atlantic Canadian disaster songs, and Cape Breton vernacular dance.
