Louis Roberts

Author, Louis Roberts, M.Ed. is the CEO and owner of Lou’s BluBooks. He has earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethune-Cookman University and his Masters of Education from Grand Canyon University. Presently, he is working on obtaining his doctorate from The George Washington University in Educational Leadership & Administration. He is currently a teacher in Charles County, Maryland after having been an educator in Washington, DC as well as in South Korea. He is an author, editor, new author coach, and advocate for children's literacy. The motto of his company is "Creating a Culture of Literacy." He is a speaker and presenter for schools and organizations that prioritize children and children's literacy. He writes children’s books that all children can enjoy while recognizing the importance of visibility and prides himself in creating characters that reflect the black and brown children he grew up with, lives around, and teaches each day. Louis is the winner of the 2023 Self-Ink It Award which celebrates the work of BIPOC Authors for "Brown Boy You Can Do Anything,” the 2024 International Impact Award and the 2025 Golden Wizard Book Prize for "Brown Girls Do It All." He recently expanded his scope as an author and published his first novel “When They Cry” and looks forward to its success.
