Chloe Lim

Dr. Chloe Lim is a seasoned professional with a unique blend of expertise in science, business, and leadership. With a PhD in medical science and 14+ years of experience in epigenetics research, she transitioned into government as a regulatory scientist.

She is a creative entrepreneur and launched 'Giggly Wiggly Balloons' in 2019. She was also a finalist on Channel 7's 'Blow Up' TV show, where she showcased her balloon artistry skills.

Her passion for sparking curiosity in young minds led her to write 'What Makes You Unique', a children's book that demystifies DNA in a fun and engaging way. Through 'Twistyfic', her science education business, she merges her love for science and balloon twisting to create educational shows that make learning a blast.

Chloe is also a migrant who has lived in multiple countries and understand the challenges faced by Asian migrants living abroad. Her story is featured in 'Undefeated', an anthology of migrant women's stories. She also hosts the 'CALD Voices in STEM' podcast, amplifying the stories of incredible women in STEM who are culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD).

She is also deeply committed to empowering women to address the issue of gender inequity. As an advisor, coach, and mentor for non-profits like Gotara, STEM Sisters, SiTara's Story, and Global Sisters, she is on a mission to help women get out of their comfort zones and shine in the world.

In 2023, Chloe won the Canberra Weekly Micro Businesswoman of the Year award by Canberra Women in Business. She was a finalist for the 2024 Ausmumpreneur award in Multicultural Business Excellence. She is also honoured in the AA124 (Asian/Asian Australian) List of 2023/4 for her work in STEM and community.
