Dr. Monte Miller

Dr. Monte Miller is a licensed clinical psychologist with thirty years of clinical experience, specializing in infidelity recovery, marital conflict, and the anxiety and depression that so often trace back to one core wound: the fear that we are not good enough to be loved. Based in San Antonio, Texas, he has spent his career convinced of a simple truth — deeper faith is the answer, and his job is removing the psychological roadblocks that keep people from it.

Monte holds a Psy.D. from Our Lady of the Lake University, an M.A. in Psychology from Wheaton College, and a B.S. from Texas A&M. His clinical work is built on what he calls the Beloved Principles — the conviction that the ache to be known and loved finds its only stable answer in God's love, already given, received not just as belief but as felt experience.

Long before he became a psychologist, Monte was a Young Life leader at sixteen. He's spent the decades since teaching, leading men's ministry, and serving at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio. He brings the same posture to the page that he brings to the therapy room: compassion paired with direct, honest challenge.

Monte lives in San Antonio with his wife, Rebecca. Held in the Storm is the first release in his four-book Beloved Principles series.
