Calvin Elston

Author Profile

Calvin Elston has chosen for his writing debut a subject that is quite close to his heart—the unexplored and unknown wonders of outer space.

An electrical engineer, born in South Wales and now based in Bristol, who has also been a soldier, Calvin drew inspiration for The Beam from his fascination with Sci-Fi and the works of Stephen King. His struggles with depression and dyslexia fuelled his desire and ambition to become a writer

This highly engaging story about an unprecedented and inexplicable phenomenon, originating in outer space and a futuristic-technology-powered mission to outer space reflects Calvin’s personal belief that anything is possible, and nothing is unachievable.
