I love writing stories for children and seeing their faces alive with expression upon hearing the story. I do believe children can learn thru the joy of reading. If the story has a lesson within it and interesting visual drawings, a child’s interest will be drawn to it.

One of the nicest things about being a children’s book author is receiving the letters and drawings from young readers who have loved reading your book! That is what makes writing worthwhile.

In my book, CATORI, I have written about the early life of the indigenous Cheyenne people..their simple way of life and respect for the world around them. My hope in writing this story was to inspire children to learn more about this time in American history and about our indigenous tribes.

My latest book, A SPARKLE OF FAIRY KINDNESS, is my first fairytale. It is filled with lessons of kindness and beautiful illustrations. My hope in writing this fairytale is that the lessons of kindness shown from the summer fairy Winslet, becomes an example for all children to follow. There will be a sequel to come on the autumn fairies, so please look for it. Meanwhile, enjoy A SPARKLE OF FAIRY KINDNESS!
