Jeffrey Lindberg

Jeffrey Lindberg is a professional illustrator and author whose hand-painted picture books blend historical research with original storytelling. His latest book, Santa Rides the Subways (Flying Rabbit Press), follows an eight-year-old girl who helps Santa complete his deliveries via the New York City subway after his sleigh breaks down over Brooklyn.

His previous book, Coney - A Trip to Luna Park, is a fully illustrated picture book rooted in the real history of Coney Island. Jeffrey researched historical facts and archival photographs to ground the fictional story in the actual look and feel of the park, hoping readers come away with both a sense of that history and a bit of wonder at what once existed on the shores of Brooklyn.

In addition to his creative work, Jeffrey is an adjunct professor in New Jersey, where he has taught for over 20 years. After thirty years in Brooklyn, he and his family now live in South Orange, NJ, just a stone's throw from Coney Island.
