Mandy Dawson Farmer

Mandy Farmer served as a pastor’s wife and children’s minister for over 25 years; teaching, singing, and developing curriculum. However, in 2011, her life took an unexpected turn, and she found herself on her back in excruciating pain. After many doctor visits and tests, Mandy was diagnosed with Central Sensitization Syndrome (CSS) with indications of Fibromyalgia, Chronic Pain Syndrome, and Myofascial Pain Syndrome. Learning to manage pain became her one focus in life and soon her husband decided to take an early retirement and they moved to Savannah, Georgia near their 4 adult children.

She started a blog about her journey with God and pain. And later, because she saw a need within the family context for understanding chronic illness, Mandy wrote “Soft Hugs for Mommy”. Previous to this she wrote a picture book about her farm heritage, Holly the Holstein Talks About Milk Cows, released in 2022.
