Danny Gunn

Born in 1984, Danny Gunn grew up in Melbourne, Victoria before moving to North-west Tasmania in 2016.

As a kid, he played representative football and cricket and loved reading Goosebumps, Spooksville and other scary stories, Choose Your Own Adventure novels, The Hardy Boys, The Three Investigators and other mysteries.

He is the mastermind behind the Tasmanian-based Van Diemen’s Valley horror series, the Tassie Western short stories and The Pirate’s Curse.

His career accomplishments include:

● Winner of the illustrious “Danny Gunn lifetime achievement award” for being Danny Gunn for 40 years straight.

● Three-peat champion of the VDV Awards for Best Van Diemen’s Valley Author.

● Proud recipient of the prestigious “Alexia Medal” for Best Dad in the World (with mugs to prove it).

When not writing, Danny enjoys hiking, scuba diving, and going on adventures.

He considers himself a chocolate milk expert.
