Chuck Furjanic grew up in Western Pennsylvania and was a driving range teaching professional from 1965 to 1968. He lettered in golf three years at Slippery Rock University. In 1979 established a golf scholarship at Slippery Rock which provided over thirty-five student golfers financial assistance. His dedication to the game of golf, education and golf history is well documented. He was given the honorary title of Golf Doctor by his friends and students. From 1989 to 2003 Chuck published 151 monthly catalogues offering golf collectibles and conducted seventeen golf auctions. Chuck Furjanic is also a golf historian, and his experience and expertise led Krause Publications to ask him to write "Antique Golf Collectibles, A Price and Reference Guide", 1997.
