Kalee DeBernardi

Kalee DeBernardi was raised in a small suburb north of Los Angeles, California. One of her favorite childhood memories was attending the Fourth of July Parade every year, doughnuts in hand, with her parents and neighborhood friends. Kalee was inspired to write this book because she saw a need for faith and patriotism to be represented in children’s literature. Kalee and her family currently live in Central Oregon.
