Marti Parker

Marti Parker was a professor of social gerontology at the Aging Research Center of Karolinska Institutet, Sweden’s largest center of medical research. As well as professional research papers, she wrote poetry, short fiction and two novels, all the while engaging with and inspiring a community of writers in English. She published her second novel shortly before dying of cancer in 2017.
