Lois Ann Abraham

Born in the Dust Bowl, fiction writer Lois Ann Abraham grew up in New Mexico in a home rich with books and spent her childhood reading and re-reading the great Victorian novels, the work of Jane Austen, and British mysteries along with books borrowed from the school backpacks of her older siblings. After a brief career as singer-songwriter, she went on to teach literature, creative writing, and grammar at American River College. Her books are Circus Girl & Other Stories, Tina Goes to Heaven, and Deborah’s Gift. Her motivation for writing is to reveal the hidden lives of women.
