Jonathan Pettigrew

Jonathan Pettigrew earned a PhD in Communication Arts and Sciences from Penn State in 2011. He trained as a social scientist and his scholarly work has contributed to understanding adolescent behaviors, family interaction, Christian faith, and health interventions. He currently is on the faculty of the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University.

Dr. Pettigrew is founder of the Dale, se REAL program in Nicaragua which trains youth to make and communicate informed choices about alcohol and other drugs and also helps them develop skills for healthy relationships. He also has led the development of a parenting intervention called "Let's Talk Family." As an health intervention scholar, he has gained experiences developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.
