In a little more than thirty years of leading, Dr. Rich Halcombe served as solo pastor of an inner-city church (at age twenty-six), associate pastor of a suburban church (that experienced 24 percent growth year over year in the area he oversaw), and teaching pastor at the seventy-fifth largest church in America. There he oversaw 221 Bible study classes and a staff of ten full-time ministers and about 150 other employees, averaging 3,321 people in weekly Bible study. The area he led started thirty new Bible study classes and led the creation of an effective leadership development process at every level, using the leadership strategy of Jesus. He also led many other initiatives to transition to their new fifty-five-acre campus.
With his move from Texas to central Ohio, he directed a struggling network of churches to grow to over 140 churches and create/formalize one of the most well-respected nonprofits in Columbus, Ohio. The organizations he leads experienced more than ten times growth in kingdom impact and financial increase. He also started two successful companies himself, even while he coaches and provides strategic planning to business leaders.
In 2018, Rich founded leaderINCREASE to “develop leaders and organizations to achieve increasing kingdom results” to make the things God taught him available to more people.
"Dr. Rich” and his wife, Tina, have been married for almost forty years, and they have several children and grandchildren, all of whom love the Lord. His favorite hobby is cooking for friends and family, whether it’s in the kitchen or on his grill or barbecue smoker.
