Becoming an author all started from years of exposure tutoring university students of all age groups, cultures, and academic levels. I was able to identify paraphrasing as their most common challenge and therefore provided years of experience, knowledge, and understanding of helping students solving this challenge into my Paraphrasing Student Guide 7 Simple Steps. My aim was to empower students to confidently paraphrase their own work, build academic skills, and also enjoy the process of learning and writing about new exciting topics. I began my journey as a student representative during my undergraduate and master's degrees, later becoming a volunteer to support Prof. Keith Hollinshead, my mentor, and dear friend, who later became my colleague after I became a visiting lecturer in his department. My academic journey was given credible merit, motivation and determination after developing enjoyment to critically think about a wide range of topics and be able to address issues or propose solutions within travel and tourism ethics. Currently, I am a module leader and full-time lecturer in London whose ambitions have still not changed, but only become stronger to support, inspire and motivate higher education students along their academic journey of learning. I have also started publishing articles on LinkedIn and enjoy connecting with unique people who share the same passion for helping others as I do to achieve our fullest potential. There are many more new publications regarding self-learning on the way, and I look forward to launching those in good time to continue helping students and inspiring other lecturers all over the world.
