Scott Sommer

Scott received a Master of Divinity, Cum Laude, from Ashland Theological Seminary. He has been a law enforcement chaplain for over 20 years, having served the City of Oxford Police, Kent State University Police, The Federal Bureau of Investigation & the United States Secret Service. He also works as a hospice chaplain, caring for people in life's most difficult moments.

Scott and his wife served as missionaries with Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ) for 25 years ministering to college students where they served in many roles. Scott completed his service to Cru in the People Operations Dept. as Theological Development Director. Scott also manages theteachingfather.com, a resource for dads who want to disciple their children.

Scott & Emily have been married for 21 years, and they have four wonderful children. After being born in Washington, D.C., Scott was raised in Northeast Ohio and is a proud Clevelander. He and his family are avid fishermen, deer hunters, canoe trippers, and fitness enthusiasts.
