A native of Baltimore, R. Scott Cornwell grew up in a political family in Maryland. His father was active in Republican party politics, twice running unsuccessfully for state office in that deep blue state. He studied journalism and lettered in track and cross-country at the University of Maryland. A self-described late bloomer and political nerd, he didn't begin writing until his late thirties, compiling five screenplays. One of those, perhaps his favorite, is "Winged Foot", inspired by his freshman year experiences at Maryland. A trip back in time. His debut novel, "#ScaryWhiteFemales", is converted from another of those screenplays; a book the author believes destined to be regarded as the definitive satire of the woke era. A proud father and grandfather, he and his wife live in Southern California.
