Alvin Council

Alvin Council is the oldest of seven children, 3 brothers, and 3 sisters, to Alvin and Patricia Council. Graduated from Stone Mountain High School in Georgia and completed an Associate of Science Degree at the University of Phoenix.

In 1993, he joined the United States Navy, following the example of military service set by his parents and grandparents. Moving through the ranks, he attained the rank of a Navy Chief Petty Officer, completing his service after over 22 years. Alvin served 13 years in Japan, 9 years in the continental US, and three deployments to the Middle East.

In 1997, Alvin wed Rei Furukawa, a Japanese citizen. They have 2 sons, Akira-15 and Koyo-17. After 20 years of marriage, Alvin and Rei ended their union. He returned to America and she remained in Japan, sharing custody of their sons.

After retiring and returning to America, Alvin settled down to raise his sons. He has published two.
