My name is Ivan Martellato. Formally, I am known as a nutritional biologist and kinesiologist but, honestly, I consider myself more of an old-fashioned bodybuilder with a strong passion for everything related to biohacking the body, and anything that can be methodically implemented to significantly improve quality of life. This passion brought me closer to functional medicine, first, by earning a master’s degree at the IFM (Institute of Functional Medicine), the most important American academic institution in the field of functional and holistic medicine, as well as anti-aging medicine. I never thought I’d find myself delving into anti-aging medicine at the age of 28, but my wide interest in everything related to health in all its facets, and a series of synchronicities, which were likely also related to the period of strong political, social, and spiritual turmoil that began in 2020, and is still in progress, all contributed to my decision to specialize in Peptide Therapy, a professional education course held in March 2020 by the American Academy of Anti-aging Medicine (also known as A4M), in Los Angeles.
During my career as nutritionist, bodybuilding coach and anti-aging specialist, I was both creator and scientific manager for the genetic test company vitaeDNA (www.vitaedna.com), and I spent most of my time as speaker and lecturer in nutrition and functional medicine conferences for for Metagenics and the Functional medicine and nutrition school (SMNF) in Italy (https://smnf.it), I also published two scientific paper about muscle tissue physiology that is openly available on Pubmed.
