Hollie Starling

Hollie Starling is a Lincolnshire-born writer working in London. She is the author of The Bleeding Tree: A Pathway Through Grief Guided by Forests, Folktales and the Ritual Year (Rider/Ebury 2023) and editor of Bog People : A Working-Class Anthology of Folk Horror (Chatto & Windus, 2025). Her essays and short fiction have appeared in various print and online publications. Hollie runs the page Folk Horror Magpie on social media.
