Jeffrey Bell was born in Los Angeles, California, graduated from Occidental College before getting his Ph.D. at Tulane University in New Orleans. His research has been primarily focused on twentieth century continental philosophy, especially the work of Gilles Deleuze, but he has also written on the history of modern philosophy, Spinoza, Hume, and problems in metaphysics. He is a Professor of Philosophy at Southeastern Louisiana University. Jeffrey currently lives with his wife in the New Orleans area.
