Catherine Coates

Telling the story of Bear’s New Hat through words and watercolor was a dream come true for Catherine E. Coates. From early childhood she loved visual arts and talking, and engaged in both hobbies seemingly non-stop.

She enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a cryptologic linguist, but Catherine never lost her passion for art and language. Upon completing her enlistment she fell in love with story-telling through film, and earned her B.A. in Communications/Film and TV Production. To this day she delights in writing screenplays and children’s books, convinced of the power of stories.

Be on the lookout for more of Catherine’s upcoming titles, including The Boy in the Box, and The Bad-Things Bimble.
