Lisa Griffin Moore

Lisa Griffin Moore was born in Franklin, Kentucky, and is a graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from Western Kentucky University. After working in her local school system for many years, she acquired her dream position as the secretary of her church. She enjoys serving in this role because she loves helping others. It is a part-time position, allowing her time to explore her late-in-life career writing children’s books.

Lisa and her husband, Jeff, reside in a small rural community in northern Kentucky. They are empty-nesters and live on a farm with Willie the kitten and his little sister, Jessie, and their Pyrador puppies, Milo and Mandy.

Children, animals, and events inspire Lisa’s writing. Her "Willie the Kitten" Series of four books has earned three awards from The Bookfest Awards, including Honorable Mention and Third Place for Children's Picture Books.

Lisa's newest book is titled "Emmy Loves to Share." Emmy is an imaginary kitty based on a young fan of Lisa’s. The story has a sweet message that children can relate to and learn from.
