TR Hamer

Born in Wilkinsburg Pa, to a poor family. Tom quickly learned the struggles of life when Child protective services took him from his Single Parent home at the age of 6. His father reclaimed only to be diagnosed with terminal cancer and dying by the time he turned 14. Afterwards being shuffled between relatives who were only interested in the social security checks that were left behind by his now dead father. Tom goes on to join the military at age 17. After completing his training in dental lab technology and completing 11 years in the Air Force he entered the work force. 10 years later he opened his own lab and continues to work it today. His interactions with doctors and patients is what keeps him going. Having learned some pretty tough lessons in life he now shares some of the common thoughts and emotions that we all experience in the form of poetry. Hoping that others will enjoy and maybe gain a little insight to themselves.
