Kermit Rose

Kermit Rose surprised his parents by, when he was three years of age, spontaneously counting milk bottles delivered to their apartment complex doorstep.

In ninth grade, he surprised the algebra teacher. The teacher had announced that if any student could factor A^2 + B^2, he would give that student an A for the six weeks. Kermit had read about complex numbers and knew how to factor it.

Kermit majored in Math at Florida State University during the years 1960 through 1966. After school he continued to investigate and solve math puzzles.
