Rainer Link is a nonbeliever. He has perhaps surprised some on the other side that, together with his wife, Yvonne, raising two boys without religion can lead to responsible, law-abiding citizens. They in turn nurtured six children without belief in a supernatural being. Those four adults and two young adults are each wholesome individuals. Rainer is proud of his contribution.
He has a German Shepherd and a formerly feral cat. The three of them take walks together, he with a pocket full of toys and treats. Also an avid soccer player, he plays midfield with other adults. He claims to have a canny ability to make the beautiful pass, and he gets a sense of joy when his pass leads to a score. The final score is less important than playing the game right.
