حصل الأستاذ الدكتور تامر محمد متولي على بكالوريوس اللغة العربية واللغات الشرقية من كلية الآداب جامعة الاسكندرية مصر سنة 1989. ثم بكالوريوس القرآن والدراسات الاسلامية القرآن والدراسات الإسلامية من الجامعة الإسلامية بالمدينة المنورة- السعودية سنة 1995 ثم ماجستير العقيدة والأديان من كلية الدعوة وأصول الدين بالجامعة الإسلامية بالمدينة المنورة -السعودية سنة 2000 ثم دكتوراة العقيدة والأديان كلية الدعوة وأصول الدين بالجامعة الإسلامية بالمدينة المنورة السعودية سنة 2008 قام بتدريس العقيدة والأديان والفرق لطلاب البكالوريوس والدراسات العليا من ذلك التاريخ حتى اليوم. أشرف وناقش عشرات الرسائل العلمية. له عشرات المؤلفات والأبحاث العلمية المنشورة ومنها:

Prof. Dr. Tamer Mohamed Metwally obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Arabic and Oriental Languages ​​from the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, Egypt in 1989. Then a Bachelor’s degree in the Qur’an and Islamic Studies in the Qur’an and Islamic Studies from the Islamic University of Madinah - Saudi Arabia in 1995, and then a Master’s degree in Creed and Religions from the College of Da’wah and Fundamentals of Religion at the Islamic University in Medina Al-Munawwarah - Saudi Arabia in 2000, then a Ph.D. in Creed and Religions, Faculty of Da’wah and Fundamentals of Religion at the Islamic University of Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Saudi Arabia in 2008.
