Mike Hurley

Mike is an avid writer of fiction, and Heartland fan fiction. He often disappears into his writing, and loves developing new characters.

A long time beekeeper, Mike finds spending time with his bees very relaxing. He describes them as one of the most intelligent creatures on the planet.

He loves studying history, bicycling, hiking in the mountains, and traveling.

In the kitchen, Mike’s passion is bread baking,

often 12 loaves at a time. He’s convinced kneading should be an Olympic sport; and

nourishing the yeast with honey, dairy, and eggs, is key to the perfect loaf.

Mike lives in Colorado with his wife, 3 dogs, and several horses.
