Peter Chung

Peter is a Senior Solutions Architect for Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) with a diverse background in business, technology, and finance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in statistics from the Univerity of California, Berkeley, and a Masters of Science in urban planning from Columbia Univerity in the City of New York.

He has been building solutions to help organizations make data-driven decisions in both the public and private sectors. Before his current tenure at AWS, he built a process to initate trades at Newport Group, a 401K Third Party Administrator. He built an analytics solution for the City of New York in partnership with the US Department of Housing and Urban Development for its Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts to bring near real-time reporting and analytics capabilities. Before his current role as a Solutions Architect, he joined AWS as a cost optimization specialist

He holds 12 AWS certifications as well as two GCP certifications and in FinOps certified.
