Melanie Perry

Hi! I'm Melanie! I am an OR Nurse who is passionate about helping others learn the 'why' behind the things that we do. When we understand why, we're more likely to do things the right way. I have 20 years of experience as an RN. I've worked in Neonatal ICU, Mother/Baby, Med/Surge, Pain Management, and the Operating Room. When I started working in the OR in 2011, I finally found my calling. It is definitely a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, and I love every minute of it.

I am also the podcast co-host, social media manager, and content creator for First Case Media. Our educational podcast reaches everyone in the perioperative world with relevant conversations about the topics that are important to the operating room. As a team, we are challenging the status quo of OR Education and bringing together the people, processes, and products that are moving our industry forward.
