J.C. Casalini

Jean Christophe Casalini was born in Milan in 1962, his mother was, a danish painter, and his father was a french director.

A multifaceted artist, he was a co-author, graphic designer, set designer, actor, director, musician, and music producer.

In 1989 he rode the digital audio revolution, introducing Sound Designer's figure in Italy. He invented the Magnum crunch, still in use today, and realized over 13,000 audio masters for advertising brands collaborating with copywriters and creative directors of the most prestigious advertising agencies and international directors. He made his first Italian column in Dolby SR for Sud (1993), then in Dolby SRD for Nirvana (1997), both films directed by G. Salvatores.

In 2015 he published OTTO, Luce e Ombra. In 2022 in a new edition.

In 2018, HYPNOS won the first ex-aequo prize at the La Pergola Arte competition in Florence when it was still unpublished. Published in 2021, it immediately received the Mention of Merit to the Premio G. Bertacchi. Finalist at the Premio Giovane Holden (2021). " Best Fantasy" at the E. Ghidini Prize (2022). Geneva Genf Prize at the Swiss Literary Prize (2022).
