Even as a little girl, Ellie Owen loved creating stories. First, they existed thanks to her Barbie collection, then playing The Sims brought her creativity to life, and now those stories come to life when writing adult romance novels. While that little girl relished in the process of creating the most inconsequential and nonsensical stories, as an adult, Ellie recognises how storytelling can impact people on a deeper level. It has since become her dream to write stories about strong women with agency over their own life, being valued as a person rather than as the object of one’s desire.
When not drawing inspiration from the world around her—or being hyper-critical about it— Ellie Owen can be found playing Genshin Impact, discovering underrated artists she often doesn’t share with others, sleeping in, or merely complaining about achy wrists.
