After driving major transformation as the Chief Learning Officer, VP of Operations, and Divisional HR Leader at Fortune 500 companies such as Andersen Worldwide, Deloitte, Sears, and L Brands, Chad began consulting with executives to drive their culture transformations – most recently as a partner with Heidrick & Struggles. He specializes in helping leaders in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services, and Technology industries articulate strategy, develop purpose and values, and create healthy, high-performing cultures that unlock strategic value.

Chad earned an MBA in Leadership in Organizations from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management and a Ph.D. in Instructional Systems from Penn State University. Prior to his roles in corporate leadership and consulting, Chad was a tenure-track professor of Instructional Technology at Northern Illinois University, a Research Fellow at The Open University of the Netherlands, and a research and teaching graduate assistant at Penn State.

The author of dozens of articles, book chapters and books on leadership, learning, and organizational performance improvement, Chad is also a sought-after speaker, delivering keynotes and presentations across North America, Asia, and Western Europe.

Chad, his wife, Amy, and their two children reside in Columbus, Ohio. He is an avid volunteer with Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis, where he helps talented young men and women become capable, influential leaders.
