Alee Vestal-Laborde moved from her wooded hills of North Carolina to the flat wetlands of Louisiana, where she discovered that the exotic bird life makes up for the lack of elevation. Alee studies waterfowl diseases for her graduate program in Wildlife and completed her Poultry Science Bachelor’s Degree at the top of the pecking order. She has published scientific papers in Developmental Neuroscience and Glia and during her day job, she talks too much about birds.
