John Derevlany is a writer, creator, and showrunner of hit TV shows for children, as well as an innovator in the field of "creative a.i." (adapting artificial intelligence applications to create original art and narratives).
As a TV writer, he has created or developed more than 20 broadcast series, including Squish, Underdogs United, LEGO Legends of Chima, Wayside, and Gerald McBoing Boing (for more info, see his website johnderevlany.com).
"Underwear Stories, 29 Tales `Written` by Artificial Intelligence" is not his first book, but it is his first one that is almost completely written by A.I., using a single, one-word prompt: "underwear." While Derevlany loves the creative potential of A.I., he doesn't think it will ever fully replace the human artist, However, he DOES see artificial intelligence as an exciting and powerful tool for enhancing the human artistic process; a tool that is also capable of producing its own strangely-beautiful art, comedy, and poetry.
Derevlany lives with his wife and kids (and computers) in Culver City, CA.
