Oakley Rae Phoenix (he/they) is a sunny and multi-faceted artist, advocate, and recently published first-time author with Jessica Kingsley Publishers. Phoenix was raised in the heart of the Bay Area in the early 2000s, and he moved to northern Oregon for college in 2019. His creative work tells the story of growing up on the West Coast with interracial lesbian moms, coming out as transgender and nonbinary in his late teens, coming to terms with his identity as an Autistic person, and learning how to realistically approach his desire to save the world. Phoenix is a performance artist, dancer, sculptor, writer, reader, and proud cat dad currently living with his partner in Salem, OR.
