Frank Emmert-Streib

Frank Emmert-Streib is Professor of Data Science at the Tampere University, Finland, where he is heading the Predictive Society and Data Analytics Lab.

His group's objective is to engage in innovative and creative research within the interdisciplinary realm of data science, focusing on questions of societal significance. We have a particular interest in exploring data from diverse domains such as medicine, finance, economics, and the social sciences. Our methodological approach relies on a combination of computational and statistical methods, integrated with network-based models. This approach enables us to tackle challenges related to uncertainty and explainability that are inherent in various data analysis tasks.
