Nathan W. Landrum would rather write about a boy drinking coffee with aliens than about himself. Even so, he has managed to bumble through adventures in the footsteps of smarter and braver people: from biking across the U.S.A to teaching science in Lesotho and China. But that doesn’t explain his writing.
Nathan spent school holidays in the National Parks where his family lived and worked. He hiked desert trails, snorkeled coral reefs, explored brick forts, and watched local wildlife. He’d journey these parks with friends, real and imagined, entangling himself in various escapades.
Each National Park is full of enough intrigue to fuel a thousand stories. The Junior Rangers Investigative Club novels are a way for Nathan to share his experiences in and appreciation for National Parks. Coffee Chronicles is a way to write ridiculous fantasy.
Find Nathan cave crawling, river rafting, or bear watching (from a safe distance) in a park near you, researching the next adventures of Justin, Lucy, and friends. He is also found in coffee shops scrawling out ideas for stories about crazy other worlds.
