Phoebe Hunt

Born in London, Phoebe moved to Florence for a summer and never left. She’s been an au pair, done a stint in a Tuscan restaurant, and posed for renaissance-style paintings, but mostly she works as a travel journalist. When she’s not writing from her favourite cafe, shes practicing Italian at the market, people watching in the piazza, or planning her next trip into Chianti. She eats pasta at least once a day, and although she still feels like a foreigner at times, Florence is unequivocally home.

Phoebe was a co-author on Florence Like a Local, and has also contributed to other books by both DK Eyewitness and Lonely Planet.
