C.J. (Chris) Fournier is a crime writer, copywriter, and reformed journalist. He’s the author of two novels in the Denny Durant Montréal Crime series—The Freelancer and The Pathfinder—which follow the escapades of journalist Denny Durant, crime fiction’s newest and most compelling protagonist. His writing has been compared to Ian Rankin, Michael Connelly, and John D. MacDonald.
C.J. spent several years as a reporter and editor with Bloomberg News in Frankfurt, Montréal, Halifax, and Ottawa, covering markets and the economy. He holds degrees in English literature from Dalhousie University and journalism from the University of King’s College.
When he's not writing fiction, he enjoys learning about wine, hacking around on a guitar, and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He’s also the world’s okayest curler and a full-time single dad to three amazing teenage boys who keep him on his toes.
