DJ Kristoff

Adventurer and award-winning teacher, Diane Kristoff earned the nickname “Dino Diane” by digging dinosaurs at the excavation site of Jurassic Park’s real paleontologist. A female version of Indiana Jones, Kristoff has whitewater rafted through the Grand Canyon, scuba-dived the Great Barrier Reef, explored Egypt’s Pyramids and the tombs of the pharaohs, and so much more.

She’s discovered that kids learn best through adventures, so she’s incorporated her real-life experiences into a magical science adventure series.

“Can you imagine, I once held a living wild bear’s head in my lap and TICKLED a fish, catching it with my bare hands? I love bringing these experiences alive in my books to inspire, uplift, and empower my readers to become courageous adventurers!”

Kristoff has inspired hundreds of adventurers to learn how to survive in the wilds, become self-reliant, and appreciate and respect nature, and each other. As a result of her years of teaching as a master educator, she was awarded the prestigious Silver Apple Award by Channel 3 and the Dial Corporation and was the recipient of the Science Teacher of the Year by the Salt River Project for the state of Arizona.
