Catriona Messenger

Writing has featured in Catriona's life for many years, her grandmother wrote poetry and this inspired Catriona to explore writing as a way of expressing herself. It gave life to inner worlds, and discovery of answers to life's questions. She finds inspiration in the joy of nature and stillness and the discomfort of noise and busyness - it's all communication. Catriona joined a writing group called Mungrisdale writers and other than writing poems and stories for her children when they were young, this was the first time she shared her writing. Writing has supported her through her most challenging times and continues to be a way of being. Catriona fell in love with ink pens and drawing in her teens and illustrates her books. She grew up in the beautiful county of Cumbria and continues to be very happily surrounded by its gifts.
