Katelynn is a dynamic educator who is passionate about student voice and empowerment, promoting equity, and valuing teachers as professionals. It is her belief that what we teach goes far beyond our content—we are teaching our students to become active members of their society who have a positive impact on the world. She continues to work with educators on promoting student voice, not only to empower students to take ownership of their learning, but to help them become the people they will ultimately be.
Katelynn has presented at various state and national conferences on assessment & grading practices, language arts instruction, social emotional learning, and equitable teaching practices. She is also a speaker with the Teach Better Team. She has contributed chapters to innovative books on educational practice, including The New Teacher’s Guide to Overcoming Common Challenges and 100 No-Nonsense Things that ALL Teachers Should STOP Doing.
