Maria Urbina-Fauser

Maria Urbina-Fauser is a Venezuelan-Canadian writer who is debuting her first novel for children (and adults) titled "Caribe" (www.caribestory.com), a tale about the bond of family and the magic of the sea.

Alba and Tiago are Venezuelan 14-year old twin siblings, separated by a storm eight years ago. Tiago now lives in Canada and Alba in Venezuela. Caribe begins when they each discover, at the same time, that the other sibling is alive. In their search for each other, they each find adventure, magic, and friendship.

Maria originally wrote Caribe in Spanish and English for her two sons as a way for the whole family to reconnect with their Venezuelan roots. Maria has now translated Caribe into English, so that even more children can enjoy it.

$2 dollars from the sale of each book in this edition will go directly to Meals4Hope (www.meals4hope.org), to help fight hunger and malnutrition, and to support the provision of food, protection, and hope, for children and families in urgent need.
