Ruozhen Ma

Ruozhen Ma is an award-winning young author. Born in China, she moved to the US when she was 3 years old. She now lives in Austin, Texas, with her parents and little brother, Hanson. Outside of her time writing, Ruozhen also enjoys playing the piano, playing soccer, and swimming.

"Turning the Corner" is the first book Ruozhen has ever written, inspired by her own experiences of re-joining school after two years of distance learning due to pandemic lockdowns. This debut novel is the 2022 Royal Dragonfly Award 1st Place Winner in Children's Chapter Books, New Author Fictions, and Young Author Fiction, and 2nd Place Winner in Middle Grade Fiction.
