Eugenia Bahit

Eugenia Bahit is a software architect and theoretical computer scientist, specialising in the design of high-level core libraries with a focus on security, applying elements of theoretical computer science and mathematics for component validation.

With over 25 years of professional experience in the software industry, she is the author of numerous books on programming and software engineering—many of which are openly accessible under free licences—as well as GPL tools for GNU/Linux system administration and software development in Python and PHP.

She also has 14 years of experience mentoring programming and software engineering for autistic, non-autistic, and neurodivergent individuals with attentional differences (ADHD), holding three postgraduate degrees in educational neuropsychology and pedagogy.

She has worked as a science journalist for multiple US-based outlets (such as ADMIN Magazine Network & Security) and UK-based outlets (such as Hackers & Developers Magazine and Scientific Computing World, among others).

A former member of the Free Software Foundation, The Linux Foundation, OWASP, the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science, and the Association of British Science Writers.
